You’re going to notice something right away: My brain works in funny ways. I make jokes, I come up with hilarious metaphors, and I’m self depreciating. With any luck, my pop-culture references and geeking out will be as illuminating as it is entertaining. It’s just part of who I am, and I’m going to be real with you. 100% of the time. I am a native Portlander, a cat lover, and staunch advocate of nap time. Seriously, why did we stop doing that?
TRAINING & EDUCATION
I hold a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Goddard College, where I have lead an introductory workshop on Hakomi and a workshop on the use of ritual in therapy. I have also completed the two-year Mindful Experiential Therapeutic Approaches (M.E.T.A.)/Hakomi Comprehensive Training. I have studied shamanism, earth-based religion, mythology, tarot, and am a second-degree Reiki practitioner in the Usui tradition.
LICENSING & SUPERVISION
I am a registered intern with the state of Oregon, working towards licensure – I am not yet a licensed professional counselor, and therefore cannot accept insurance. As a registered intern, I am required to have supervised clinical experience and am under the ongoing supervision of Donna Roy, LPC, CHT (503.450.9919).
